About the Meeting
Sustainability and the role of the actuary
Sustainability is now regularly on the news and insurance firms are starting to understand the risks that sustainability presents to their business models as well as the potential opportunities. However, it is an incredibly broad topic with new specialist areas and an increasing number of interested parties; all of which makes it difficult to navigate. Arguably, the actuarial profession should be leading the charge in an area which is inherently uncertain but needs careful steerage and leadership. This talk will provide an overview of sustainability from an insurance company’s perspective, the key challenges and how actuaries can/should be getting involved.
The speakers for this event are:
- Roger Jackson (Partner) & Lucy Thomas (Director), KPMG LLP
The presentation will be followed by open discussion.
Presentation 6-7:30 PM including open discussion
